The John Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in October 2013 by the graduates of the Circle’s first Teacher of Pupils Training Program as a way to express our gratitude to our teachers—Robert Perry, Mary Anne Buchowski, and Greg Mackie—and as a way to honor the memory of our beloved friend and brother, John Perry. John was prevented from taking his place as one of our lead teachers in the training by his death in March 2012. Thankfully, he lives on in our hearts and has surely been with us in spirit throughout the program.
John, who so lovingly exemplified living the Course and following guidance, dedicated the last decade of his life to joyfully serving his many pupils and to helping birth the “plan of the teachers” [M-1.2:6] that was so dear to him.
It is our hope that this memorial scholarship fund will help ensure the continuation of the Teacher of Pupils Training Program. May it also serve as a symbol of our devotion to each other and the community that brought us together in the shared goal of anchoring a tradition that brings the Course’s light to the world.
With love and gratitude from the Class of 2013, we invite you to join us in making a contribution to the John Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund.
