  • Effort or Willingness? by Greg Mackie. Does it take effort to learn the Course, or just willingness?
  • What is "formal religion," and what is the alternative to it? by Greg Mackie. The Psychotherapy supplement (P-2.II.2) speaks out strongly against formal religion. What specifically is it referring to when it mentions formal religion, how is formal religion an "ego attempt to reconcile the irreconcilable" (P-2.II.2:3), and what is the alternative to formal religion?
  • Spiritualism by Greg Mackie. We're all familiar with the claims that certain people can communicate with the dead. Is this really possible? And if it is, is it desirable? Greg offers an answer based on Section 25 of the Manual.
  • What are angels? by Greg Mackie. What are angels? If they are spirit beings, are they not then the Sons of God? What exactly is their purpose?
  • Resurrection by Greg Mackie. When Jesus was resurrected, were we resurrected with him? If so, then why do we still experience ourselves as living in a dream of separation?
  • Serving on a jury by Greg Mackie. May a Course student serve on a jury, and if so, how?
  • Competition by Greg Mackie. What is the Course's stance on competition? Would it have us refrain from all forms of competition?
  • Pain and suffering by Greg Mackie. T-13.VII.2:1 says, "The world you see must be denied, for sight of it is costing you a different kind of vision." Does this mean that we should totally deny that there is pain and suffering in this world? How can we deny that people are in pain and need help?
  • Material wealth by Greg Mackie. What is the Course's stance toward money and material wealth? Since the Course asserts that we are all equal and encourages sharing, would it advocate equal distribution of wealth?
  • Theological discussions by Greg Mackie. Should students of the Course get into theological discussions, especially with those who see the Course as "demonic" or a cult, and if so, how?
