This is "Course lore" month. This month we are going to do something a bit out of the ordinary. We are going to focus on what we call "Course lore." Lore is "A body of traditional beliefs and notions accumulated about a particular subject." By Course lore, we particularly mean accumulated notions about the Course that don't actually fit the Course. Unfortunately, the body of Course lore is large and very influential, and these misconceptions can dramatically shape one's whole way of understanding and practicing the Course. So this month our focus will be on shining a spotlight on that lore and clarifying what the Course really says in those areas. If you have particular ideas you want clarification on, please send those to Robert (robert@circleofa.org) at any time, and he will either address them in class or write a short piece on them for the PathMap.
